BIG Fraud
The priciest highway project in U.S. history was five years late, billions of dollars over initial cost estimates, and has been plagued by allegations of fraud, waste, and mismanagement. “Somebody obviously messed up big time,” said Governor Mitt Romney.
This is the new Turnpike tunnel system in Boston . It has serious flaws that may never be repaired. They are still haggling over how much the repairs might cost above and beyond the already spent $14.6 billion dollars. For $14.6 billion dollars, the tunnel should have automatic car wash brushes to clean them as they travel through. There should be free coffee and donuts too. Come-on! What are they spending $14.6 billion dollars for? And it is broken! We now have a $14.6 billion dollar broken tunnel in America . Yes! Way to Go! Keep up the good work!
UACT and Senior Citizens
· Only if you have a job will you pay taxes (Forces politicians to work for the people)
· No more homeowner taxation (these taxes are killing many senior savings)
· No more local sales taxation (It all comes out of Income tax)
· No more fighting against referendums and abusive political figures
· And all seniors over the age of 70 are tax-free. They have earned it, and as a nation, this is the least we can do.
Angelo Pesce, the UCA President recently wrote: “I am not a senior citizen yet, but I have always felt that our society (and politicians in general), abuse seniors in our nation. Personally, I have tremendous respect for all my elderly relations. The wealth of knowledge and life experience overwhelms me. Seniors now and in the future are the cornerstones to our society and helped shape our nation through their work achievements, sacrifices, and family values. I wholeheartedly agree that seniors (in any generation), deserve to live tax burden free financially so that they can enjoy the remainder of their lives, and look back with fondness at a nation that they helped to create and nurture.”
Hidden Tax
There are "hidden" taxes embedded in the price of every good and service you buy and increase the price you pay from 20% to 40%, depending on the product. Some think that "businesses" should pay more in taxes to take the load off individuals, but guess what? Businesses do not pay taxes. Never have...never will! WE DO, in the form of higher prices, lower wages and/or less return on investment of the owners/stockholders.
American taxpayers pay on average $2,413 per year in hidden taxes (Not counting Sales tax and Homeowners tax). These hidden taxes amounting to $639 BILLION annually are federal, state, and local levies buried in with the prices of goods and services.
Here are a few examples: 35 cents (30%) for a $1.14 loaf of bread, 18 cents (36%) on a 50 cent can of soda, 72% on a 750-ml bottle of liquor, 43% on a six-pack of beer and $63.60 (40%) on a $159 plane ticket.
When a welfare recipient or a homeless person goes to buy a loaf of bread -- even though they pay no income taxes directly -- they will end up paying the hidden taxes and fees, and then they are still hit with the non-hidden local tax of the community. In essence, people are paying tax on their tax whether they have a job or not.
